The playground, for working on your own JSON.

The extension opens JSON responses in your browser. The playground is a separate workspace: bring a document, edit it and run tools on that working copy.

Getting started with the playground

  1. Bring your document

    Open the playground from the extension menu. Paste JSON, choose a file or drop it into the editor.

  2. Work with both views

    Edit the text and inspect the result in the tree. Format, minify or validate the document, then choose a tool from the navigation.

  3. Take the result with you

    Review the output before copying or downloading it. Save a named snippet when you want to return to the document later.

Keep track of nested objects. Switch between the tree and raw text, search for a key, value or path, then copy what you need.

Structure, quality and diagnostics
Inspect types, depth and structure. Find data quality and best-practice issues, diagnose invalid JSON and estimate tokens.
JSON Lines and JSONPath queries
Analyse JSON Lines / NDJSON records. Use JSONPath to select values matching a query, with explicit search and result limits.
Comparison and JSON Patch
Compare values, exclude specific paths from the diff and inspect schema drift across samples. Copy or download a complete JSON Patch describing the changes.
Repair, extraction and conversion
Preview a repair, extract a path or trim a document. Convert the output to YAML, TOON, XML or CSV.
Contracts and test data
Generate TypeScript types and a JSON Schema. Create mock data, including from a schema, to prepare tests without reusing a production response.
Export and redaction before sharing
Copy or download your output. Review potentially sensitive fields and preview their redaction before sharing; automatic detection does not replace your review.
